About This Tool
A discount calculator finds the final price after a percentage reduction and shows how much you save. It also supports stacked discounts, where a second reduction applies to the already-reduced price rather than to the original, which is why two 20% discounts do not equal 40% off.
Sequential discounts multiply rather than add: 20% off then a further 10% off leaves 72% of the original price, a 28% total reduction, not 30%. The tool applies each reduction in order and reports the effective total discount so the headline offer and the real saving are both clear.
Retailers sometimes present stacked offers in a way that sounds larger than the real saving, since two separate reductions never simply add up. Working out the effective rate before you buy makes it easy to compare a single large discount against a stack of smaller ones and see which genuinely costs less.
