What a PALM file holds

Its adoption was driven by the growing popularity of Palm devices. While newer formats have emerged, PALM remains relevant for legacy systems and applications that require compatibility with older Palm OS devices.

Choose PALM when working with legacy Palm OS applications or devices that require this specific format. It is particularly useful for preserving images in their native format for historical or archival purposes. When converting images to PALM, ensure they are within the supported color depth and resolution limits to avoid compatibility issues.

Be aware that not all modern image editing tools support PALM. Use dedicated conversion software or libraries capable of handling PALM format.
