How the Comparison Works

See what changed between two versions of a document, without sending them anywhere.

Comparing

Side by Side

File A, File B, and a difference view sit next to each other so every change is easy to confirm.

Differences Highlighted

Changed areas are tinted red in the difference view, so your eye goes straight to what moved.

Page Count Aware

If one file has extra pages, they are flagged as present in only one version.

Results

Private by Design

Both files are rendered in your browser, so sensitive documents never leave your device.

Quick Summary

See at a glance how many pages changed, stayed the same, and how the page counts compare.

Catches the Visible

Because it compares rendered pages, it notices text, images, stamps, and formatting shifts alike.

Comparing Two PDFs Side by Side

  1. Add both files

Drop the original into the first box and the new version into the second, or click either box to browse. Both are read in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

  2. Run the comparison

Press Compare. Each page is rendered from both files and lined up, and a difference view marks the changed areas so they stand out at a glance.

  3. Step through the pages

Use the summary to see how many pages changed, then move page by page. File A, File B, and the differences sit next to each other so you can confirm every change.

What the Difference View Shows

The comparison is visual: it lines up the two files page by page and highlights where the pixels differ. That catches any change you can see, not just edited words.

ChangeHow it shows up
Edited or added textThe changed area is tinted red in the difference view
Moved images or blocksBoth the old and new positions are marked as different
A page added or removedFlagged as present in only one file, with the page counts shown
Pages that matchLeft plain, so your eye goes straight to what changed
Formatting or colour shiftsPicked up too, since the check is visual rather than text-only

When a Visual Compare Is the Right Tool

Confirming nothing changed

A file came back marked as unchanged. Line it up against your copy to be certain, instead of trusting the label.

Spotting a moved figure

Contracts, quotes, and statements can hide a single edited number. The red highlight lands right on it.

Reviewing a design or form

Layout, stamps, and images are all checked, so a shifted logo or a nudged field is caught, not just text.

When to use text compare instead

If you need each inserted and deleted word named as a list, a text-level compare fits better than a visual one.
