odp ODP Overview
ODP (OpenDocument Presentation) is the presentation format of the OASIS OpenDocument standard, the native format of LibreOffice Impress and Apache OpenOffice. It has progressed through ODF 1.0 in 2005, 1.1 in 2007, and 1.2 in 2011.
Structurally it is a ZIP archive of XML subdocuments. content.xml carries the slides and automatic styles, styles.xml the document styles, meta.xml the authorship and timestamps, and settings.xml the application-specific state, with images and thumbnails stored alongside.
Being a vendor-neutral published standard, ODP is the usual choice where open formats are mandated, and it is well supported by any application that conforms to OpenDocument.[1][2]
