A Format Without a Player
Flash Player reached end of life at the end of 2020 and browsers removed support entirely. FLV did not become inferior so much as it lost the only environment that ran it, and a format with no player is a format you cannot watch.
Any FLV worth keeping should be converted. MP4 is the natural target: it plays everywhere Flash once did and everywhere Flash never did. The video inside an FLV is often H.264 already, so the conversion is frequently a container change rather than a quality-losing re-encode.
Evolution of FLV

However, consider alternatives such as MP4 for new projects, as FLV lacks widespread support and modern features. If you must work with FLV, ensure your playback environment can handle it, as many players no longer support the format.
